The registry is the place in your computer computer where the configuration information about your computer and your installed programs are saved and stored so that your operating system can access and use them.

Upkeep of the registry is an essential step in maintaining your computers health. Registry errors or malfunctions can include computer crashing, slow performance, and the always annoying Microsoft Windows error messages.

The software I recommend for this is Ccleaner. (C-cleaner). This wonderful program wipes useless temporary internet files, cookies, and recent documents clean from your computer. I usually free up anywhere from 50-150 mb by using ccleaner, depending on how much I had been using my computer. Not only does ccleaner do all that, it is a top notch registry error fixer.

The latest version of ccleaner can be found here: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner/

The link is promoted on ccleaner's official website here: http://www.ccleaner.com/download, so the is download is legit and safe. Also, I scanned the file with my antivirus software, and have had it installed for a few months with no problems.

Ccleaner is a wonderful program that will increase your computers performance, and space dramatically. This software is an essential for anyone looking to maintain their computers performance, and overall health.

First, I just want to say

First, I just want to say this is an excellent article for beginners just starting to go more in-depth with their personal computer. I have used ccleaner, but another tool I find handy is "CheckIt Registry Cleaner". It focuses more on registry errors yet is very similar to Ccleaner.
