Released: SMS Appliance 7.6 Update 2 (7.6.1-14)

You might have noticed a new update pop up over the last couple of days as we've just released Update 2 for SMS / Brightmail Gateway Appliance 7.6 software - valid for both physical and virtual appliances of course.

As always, make sure you have a nice working backup before you update to this version and don't forget my previous post where I talked about using the Virtual Appliance with VMWare Server as your test lab.

Hey Chuck,

Well, you'll have to excuse my reply being 3 months late - I didn't have notifications turned on for this post :-/

Anyhow, your question - We actually addressed this in the 7.7 release. Our optimization and code changes DRASTICALLY improved performance of the Message Audit Log.
As an example, queries that took 30mins in 7.6 now take less than 1 (one) minute to complete in the 7.7 version.

I am having some performance issues when trying to query message log information for specific messages. any query over more than the last hour takes 20+ minutes to return results.. in fact the one I am running right now has been working for 60 Mins.. how can i get some help on this
