Trying to be nice here. SIM is frustrating. No product is more certain to bring an SMP server's resources to its knees.

So, word to the wise. ALWAYS close SIM when you've finished using it.

Yes, and even in the testiest of small (VM) test environments it needs two processor cores minimum, it'll just lock up one altogether, or did in the early days.

Hi,

Is this still true for SIM 7.5.SP1? I see the number of already closed defects that describe the similar situation in our bug-tracking system. If this claim is about the latest SIM then I will have to reopen one.

Thank you,

Alex.

Hi Alex,

I've not upgraded to SP1 yet, and will be very pleased if these busy CPU waits have indeed been removed. Will be totally ecstatic if this little app doesn't insist on consuming 500MB of RAM too!

I won't be testing the upgrade to SP1 until next week. Would you mind if I PM'd you with details if still find it hogging resources?

Kind Regards,
Ian./

Ian, sure. SIM team has spent a lot of efforts to fix that issue and we really need to know if it was not fixed completelly.

Thank you,

Alex.
