Rumours of our demise have been greatly exaggerated....!

The EV team are alive and well and continue rocking all over the world!

Contrary to a few hopeful blog postings predicting the early demise of the EV product team and the end of Symantec’s focus on the archiving market’s #1 product, we’re pleased to re-affirm that there was zero impact  to the overall EV team by the recent Symantec organisational changes. This includes the EV product team, engineering, product management, marketing, field enablement, consultancy and support; in fact we have recently added numbers to some of these teams as demand continues for EV to outstrip the general market growth!

The EV team is one of the main reasons why it is the archiving market’s #1 product because within it we have  the following groups of dedicated & hard working people.

  • 180 product development staff

  •  A field enablement team dedicated to keeping our field teams up to date on all the latest product andmarket advancements

  • 100 support staff providing local time zone and language support in US, UK, France, Germany, Japan and Australia

  •  An RPM (Regional Product Management) team who are focused on ensuring our premium customers are successful with their EV implementation and provide feedback to enable us to enhance the product to better fit our customers’ needs

So with all this in mind we are looking forward to another successful year in 2009 and can't wait to share details about our impending release of V8 later this month. The beta programme was the best one we've had yet and we're sure you'll all love the new features and changes we've made.

We all know 2009 is going to be a tough year for everyone but rest assured the EV team will be with you all the way and we wish you all well during these turbulent times.

Thanks

The EV Guys

Thanks,

Kyle - that's a good question. If you want to get in touch with us then please click on the "EV Guys" link above and send us a private message and we'll respond to you. Next year the STN Community area will be evolving and we'll have more options for two way communication. Also, we should point out that there is a Peer to Peer support site where you can post general questions to the rest of the EV community this can be found at the following link.
