Security update error 80073712 on update KB951847

using windows vista Home Premuim and I am trying to load the SP1 update. Every time I try to load it, either manualy or automatically, I keep getting loading errors. These errors are 800706BE or the latest, 800734712, can anyome tell me if they know of a way to get around these errors and be able to do these upgrades as I cannot update to SP2 or Internet Explorer 8 Optimised until I get the SP 2  loaded.
