Today, I have some updates and great tips to share... .
Talking about the Connect metrics, we see some pretty steady numbers since the site launched. This indicates that our community is continuing to grow and be healthy. The response rate to the threads have greatly improved, especially on the Backup and Archiving boards compared to the past. Thank you all for your time and effort.
One feature that is not being used to the fullest is the ability to post the thread "SOLVED". Users who initiate the thread, along with the TA's, Managers and Moderators, have the capability to post the thread as "Solved". In doing so, this feature becomes handy, particularly when others are looking for a solution for similar problems they have with the products. Also, it gives us all a clear picture on how successful the community is in solving those issues. Every post on the community has the feature enabled. So, if you posted a question and think that someone's reply to it has resolved your problem, please take a second to "Mark it as a Solution".
Another feature that is yet be utilized to the fullest is the "VOTING" feature. This Voting feature is a very simple yet wonderful tool to distinguish between the "Good and Bad". Every post on the community has this feature enabled. All you have to do is take a second to either mark the post with a Thumbs-up or Thumbs-Down. It's as easy as that. And remember that you would get 0.5 points for every vote.
So, let's promise ourselves that we will utilize these great features to the fullest!
