Now that SEP 12 is available, be sure to get experience and training in order to prepare to become a Symantec Certified Specialist (SCS; available to all end users including customers) or a Symantec Technical Specialist (STS; available only for partners and employees).

The SCS and STS exams become available at Prometric on August 29th.

Customers: Check out to learn more about the Symantec Certified Specialist (SCS) program and available exams.

Partners: Visit PartnerNet to learn more about the Symantec Technical Specialist (STS) program and available exams.

I've checked FileConnect a half a dozen times or more since first hearing that 12 was out, but all I see is the same old 11RU6 (11.0.6300.803). I even stumbled across a KB article about 11RU7 migration to 12, but I haven't been able to find 11RU7 anywhere either...

Also got a popup notice saying there's a new PGP Desktop build available ( if I recall correctly), but that doesn't seem to be on FileConnect either.

All my maintenance/support contracts are current, so I should definitely qualify for the product upgrades - when should I expect to see them truly "available" for download?

Hi David,

Your SEP11 license keys wont give you access to SEP12 - you need to go through the version upgrade process.. You can find more details about that here:
