Hi Skiextreme2013,

In order to determine root cause of the issue we would need to look at the data. We would have you run a symhelp tool to collect all data and then do an analysis. Things we would look at are the tomcat logs for errors, warnings, failures, we would also look at the size of the sem5 log as well as the number of content revisions you are holding on to. From this analysis we would determine root cause. The issue would have to be occuring at the time you gathered the data.

Thank you,

Can anyone assist me with a question please?  We have a current SEPM in place that is running version 12.1.2015.2015 with a database of just over 4GB with over 100 clients.

I've had some issues with the DB in our new enviornment v12.1.3001.165.  Today I did a restore because our original database had become corrupt and grew to almost 30GB.  Keep in mind this is with 5 or 6 test clients on the SEPM.

I just did a restore this morning and the DB is now down to 6GB.  Can anyone elaborate as to why this DB is so large, when our current production envionrment is quite a bit smaller with about 20X more clients??

The database is embedded.  Did something change in the way the DB is built in 12.1 RU3?  I'm just trying to understand and explain to management why this is using up so much HD space.  Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Okay, figured it out.  For some reason it opens in Chinese using Google Chrome (and no files), but opens in English using IE (v10).  Never seen that bug before.  Thanks!

(P.S. NSA, if you're listening, you might want to check this out.  Looks fishy.)

Working fine when I open. Shows English and the download is there.

These two links open only in Chinese (or something asian).  Know where to find the English version of the SEP RU3 patch?

1st think I noticed when I went to the site is that the last upgrade was June 2011.  It wasn't until I went to the files that I saw the 12.1.3 files.

Hello,

Did you receive any response from the Symantec Licensing Department?

Try the Email: license@symantec.com

Secondly, in case you haven't received any response then please PM me your Name, Registered Email Address and Phone number.

Hope that helps!!

I have to say the support on upgrades is very poor. I have been on the phone for over 45 minutes while someone keeps telling me the upgrade is there. Then I 'm told it is not as I need a special licnese. I am then told to manage my case thru the portal but my case does not show up in MySymantec.

Also the file connect has reduced the information around the files. There are no date or full version numbers.

Also no notification around upgrades.

Poor job.

Hello,

This usually happens with the users carrying the Symantec Protection Suite.

In case you do not see the Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU3 version on Symantec Flexnetoperations (earlier Symantec Fileconnect), you may see the same in coming few days.

However, incase you need it very urgently, you may contact the  Symantec Licensing Department.

They can help you with a Temporary License Number.

Website: http://symantec.custhelp.com
Phone number: 1-800-721-3934
Email: license@symantec.com

Hope that helps!!

Call Symantec,  they'll get you a temp serial to get access.

Great Mithun and Mick to save all 12.3 link in a single blog.

But when it will be reflect in file connect, I have open the File connect and found only 12.1 RU2 version listed here.

No entry of 12.1 RU3?

Jun 07, 2013 08:26 AM

Oh! great. This is a good news and was looking forward to this release.

"Thumbs up!"

Just adding two extra links for those who wish to "patch" their existing 12.1's up to RU3 directly.  These patches are very useful for unmanaged/self-managed clients:
