Hi,

You need only SEPM setup to complete the upgrade process.

Downoad SEPM setup and can perform upgrade to 12.1 ru4.

However you can download both part1 & part 2 as well if required in the future.

In part1 you will again see SEPM setup but along with 32 bit and 64bit unmanaged client setup

Part 2 contains PDF files & additional tools provided by Symantec.

Feb 05, 2014 09:56 AM

part 1 contains all the installs (SEPM and clients).

The SEPM upgrade will be in the SEPM folder under Part 1 once extracted. You run the setup.exe

Feb 05, 2014 09:51 AM

SEP 12.1 RU4 downloads consist of Part 1 Installation, Part 2 Tools and SEPM.  Does one need to run all three in order to upgrade from 12.1?  If so, in what order?  If not, which do need to be run.  Thank you!

Where can I find additional disk space requirements for the installation, both during and after.  I'll be upgrading from 12.1.1000.157 RU1.

The information provided in this Blog is too much relevant. The link you provided for the AntiVirus Support is Awesome. It provides good support for the Virus Removal. Our company sunrisesupport provide support on various products.

Hello guys,

Any update on when we will be able to download version 12.4?

I've been checking my.symantec.com available downloads, and I can only see up to 12.2.

We have deployed Win8.1 and really need SEP to work

Thank you

Any other more changes rather than Window 8.1 compatibility?

Oct 30, 2013 07:12 AM

Hi Clint,

Windows 8 and 8.1 will be supported in 12.1 RU4, but Windows To Go is not supported.

You may wish to lend your support to this proposed enhancement request:

Support for "Windows To Go" on Windows 8

Any news on adding support for Windows To Go?  Was hoping it might show up in 12.1.4 but I don't see it listed.

Hello,

This usually happens with the users carrying the Symantec Protection Suite.

Do not panic. It would be uploaded to all the accounts as the process of uploading to all accounts is in process.

In case you do not see the Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU4 version on Symantec Flexnetoperations (earlier Symantec Fileconnect), you may see the same in coming few days.

Secondly, The Latest version of CleanWipe is 12.1.4013.4013 is present in Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.4_Part2_Tools_EN\CleanWipe

However, incase you need it very urgently, you may contact the  Symantec Licensing Department.

They can help you with a Temporary License Number.

Phone number: 1-800-721-3934
Email: license@symantec.com

Hope that helps!!

Oct 29, 2013 12:48 PM

yes, cleanwipe will be part of tools\ folder :-)

wait for couple of days more for the the SW to be updated on fileconnect.

Oct 29, 2013 12:36 PM

When I accessed the portal with SEP12.1 serial number I could only see the old version 12.1.3. But when I entered a Protection Suite Enterprise 4.0 serial number then I got access to the latest version 12.1.4. Don't know why, possibly the update with the new version is still in progress on fileconnect.

By the way, it's a good thing that they've finally included the tool CleanWipe inside the SEPM tools. We don't need to bother support for that anymore.

Oct 29, 2013 05:20 AM

I am not sure I trust this post.

The usual URL to enter your license number is

https://licensing.symantec.com/acctmgmt/fileconnect/FileConnectSerialNumber.jsp

Not

flexnetoperations.com

Can someone please check that.
