Symantec Research Labs Seeks Graduate Fellowship Applicants
Symantec is currently accepting applications for the 2009 Symantec Graduate Fellowship. This fellowship is one of several efforts we undertake with top U.S. universities to foster future technical leadership, generate fresh ideas, and develop next-generation technologies to solve real-world problems in security, storage and systems management. The one-year fellowship covers 100 percent of the student's tuition and fees and provides a $20,000 stipend to cover academic-year living expenses. Past recipients of the Symantec Graduate Fellowship have made substantial contributions to our market-leading products, prestigious industry groups and the academic community.
Recipients will have the opportunity to work directly with Symantec's top researchers on new research projects, and will also have access to the company's market leading technologies and extensive Global Intelligence Network. In addition, recipients are eligible for a salaried summer internship at Symantec Research Labs to pursue innovative research. This allows the students to research and develop next-generation technologies that could impact millions of customers, in a real-world industry environment. The deadline for completed applications and supporting materials for the 2009 award is December 12, 2008.
