Symantec Workspace Streaming is excellent technology when used in conjunction with VDI desktops.  You can stream applications to a non-persistent VDI image on demand.  One of the interesting issues that comes up in a non-persistent environment is the application "goes away" at the end of the session.

We have added the ability to reclaim application licenses when the machine logs off.  To enable this functionality add the following to your AppStreamCfg.txt file:

PURGE_LICENSES_AT_LOGOFF=true

Hello, this is a good feature, however I would also like to have a "PURGE_LICENSES_ON_SHUTDOWN" feature as well...

Because in a VDI environment you typical have a "pool" of VMs that is controlled via power management, so in my environment I still see VMs holding licenses, despite they are not logged on. Probably because the logoff is not triggered by the user him/herself. It is a shutdown forced by the administrator.

I hope you understand...
