The Customer Preview for SWV 6.2 is now live up on the Symbeta site, we're no longer using beta.altiris.com.  This also includes SWS 6.2 as well as a preview of Wise Virtual Composer 6.2.

With 6.2 we're introducing a new package format named XPF that will contain both streaming and virtualization information so you'll no longer have to convert a VSA into something that SWS can consume.

To create an XPF you'll need to convert a VSA using Wise Virtual Composer, it's a fairly simple process, however, WVC currently only allows for you to convert a VSA into a XPF.  To do any layer editing you'll need to still use SVSadmin.

You can download the preview from

If you already have a SymBeta account, simply enter your credentials and you will be added to the Customer Preview. If you (or the customer) have not used SymBeta in the past, you are required to register for an account.

Thanks Jordan

I should have restated saying that we were waiting on the Streaming support for SWV so that our Windows 7 clients could connect to our Appstream server.
