Unable to take image of or clone an HP Elitebook 8530P

I have had issues with the HP Elitebook 8530P machines and I wanted to share the resolution I found:

To resolve this issue, you will need to use Windows PE as the PreOS, add the latest driver for the Intel card and add some disk access command line switches.

1. Go to Intel's website and download the Windows Vista driver for the Intel 82567LM-3 network card:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filter_results.asp...

2. Extract that driver via these instructions:

3. Import the drivers through the Ghost Boot Wizard:

How to add drivers to DeployAnywhere or WinPE.

http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/on-technology...

If using the Ghost Console:

1. Right-click the entry for the machine in the Default Machine Group. On the Client tab, make sure that the Virtual Partition PreOS is set to winpe (this should be the same build of Windows PE that you added the driver to).

2. Add the following switches to the task via the Advanced button (on the Clone tab in a Clone task, or the General tab in an Imge Create Task):

-FNI -NOIDE

If using boot media:

1. Recreate boot media with the following switches in the Parameters line:

-FNI -NOIDE

2. Use that boot media for Local or Ghostcast task.
