We’re committed to making this transition as simple and seamless as possible for you. In April 2012, the VeriSign seal you have on your site will automatically update to the new Norton™ Secured Seal, powered by VeriSign. This new trust mark will combine the power of the checkmark, the reputation of VeriSign and the consumer recognition of Norton into one.
The update will be automatic. You don’t have to do anything. Once the seal updates, it will be displayed up to 650 million times per day on over 100,000 websites in 165 countries. It will also appear in search results on enabled browsers as well as partner shopping sites and product review web pages. We will also be changing our product names from VeriSign to Symantec, for example: VeriSign Secure Site Pro will become Symantec Secure Site Pro.
New name. Same strength.
Although the name is changing, the same high security standards remain and we will continue to:
