Are you ready? Symantec Vision 2010 is just starting, and we've got three full days of activities planned for you. To take advantage of them all, here's some helpful information.

Keynote Update

Take Control of Your Information Don't think of the typical keynote here. One of the big changes for Symantec Vision 2010 is a new keynote format. Long-winded executive speeches are forbidden, PowerPoint slides are banned, laughter is strongly encouraged and the information is all relevant and useful. Join Symantec Vice President of Product Marketing Steve Morton when he Takes Control of the Vision stage on Tuesday at 11:00 in the Auditorium, Ground Level, CCIB. Symantec President and CEO, Enrique Salem and Senior VP for EMEA, John Brigden are slated to join Steve to examine the critical shift from “infrastructure-centric” to “information-centric” computing and discuss the implications of that shift for your organization

Check-In and Pre-Register for Sessions

Hopefully you are all checked in, have picked up your badge and conference materials, and are ready to go. If not, the Conference Registration Desk will be open Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30 until 18:00 and on Thursday from 8:00 to 14:30. The Main Registration Desk is in the CCIB Lobby, Ground Floor. You can log in at the Self Check-in stations, then pick up your badge and conference materials at the Conference Registration Desk. Break-out sessions and hands-on labs are filling up quickly, so be sure to pre-register for your classes and build your personalised conference agenda now! Review the online session Scheduler to reserve your seat before they're gone. And if you have any questions or need help, the Conference Services Desk is in the same area, adjacent to Conference Registration. Self-guided Hands-on Lab

For the first time, Vision 2010 is offering the opportunity to participate in self-paced hands-on labs at the conference. We recognize that instructor led labs book quickly, so this is a great opportunity to explore some of the labs on your own. Drop in throughout the day, Room 211/212, Floor P2, to take part in a variety of labs from each of the conference tracks. Check the online Session Catalog for details.

Country Connect Delegate Receptions

Also new this year, our Country Connect meeting points provide the opportunity for delegates from each country to network together. These provide a focal point for delegates and service providers to meet, network and share specific topics related to their own domestic market. Divided into the five Symantec regions of Central, Western, Mediterranean, Emerging and UK/Ireland, each region represented will host a reception between 12:30 -13:00 and 17:45-18:15 on Tuesday 5 October, CCIB, Room 211/212, Floor P2.  Join our sponsors for a drink and enjoy this chance to meet your fellow countrymen.
