Developing and integrating a strategic corporate responsibility/sustainability program continues to be a goal here at Symantec. We realize that it is indeed a journey and that all of the pieces are not going to fall into place quickly and easily. We also realize that we are always learning about the issues and opportunities presented. Engaging with our stakeholders is a primary tenet of our developing program.

Here at Symantec our relationships have evolved to include a diverse set of corporate responsibility stakeholders. These stakeholders are subject matter experts, customers, partners, employees, shareholders, leaders, and ordinary citizens with a belief that business has an enormous opportunity to play, a valuable role in shaping a better future for all of us. These stakeholders have helped us in ways both large and small – they have shaped our strategy and kept us on the forefront of emerging issues.

The next step in our journey is the roll out of our social media strategy and this blog – Corporate Responsibility in Action. We’re committed to creating an open, transparent dialogue with you so that we can continue to grow and strengthen Symantec’s corporate responsibility/sustainability strategy.
