Welcome to the Storage Management section of Symantec Connect! If you're coming here from the former Symantec Technology Network (STN) site, this may look pretty different. Connect is a new site, combining STN, Altiris Juice and the Altiris Technical Support Forums under one roof, along with a bunch of cool new features. To introduce myself, I'm Kimberley Bermender (username Kimberley), and I’ll be managing and modering the content for this section. Feel free to drop me a note if you have any questions, comments, suggestions or ideas.
While there’s a lot that’s new here, you’ll find familiar content from the STN Storage Foundation forums (Database Edition for Oracle, Storage Exec, Storage Foundation Family, Veritas Installation Assessment Service, Volume Manager, CommandCentral and Virtual Infrastructure), as well as articles that have all been migrated. There’s also a lot of new Storage content that the Development team has created, including new articles, videos downloads and blog posts. Check them out and give us your feedback. And then create some content yourself!
While it would be impossible to list all the features in the site, here are a few we think you'll really like:
- You can earn points for participating on the site, which can be translated into rewards. You can collect awards by starting forum posts, commenting, voting, or creating articles, downloads or videos). Check out the https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/articles/s... ">Reward Program details.
- You can tag content with more than one product and topic.
- You can mark Forum discussions as "solved."
- You can upload images.
- You can create any content type.
Submit your articles (approx 1500 words, screenshots), blogs (tips or how-to’s), downloads, videos and forum questions. When you participate in the site by sharing information and opinions with the community you can earn reward points that can be redeemed for gifts and prizes. Check out some of the cool rewards you can get!
Please take some time to explore the new Connect site, and then visit this forum post to tell us what you think. I’ll look forward to seeing you in the Storage Community area!
