A very useful and well known tool is the Windows Installer Cleanup utility (msicuu2.exe) that allows the removal of failed installations. Many people used this tool in case of a damaged installation using Windows Installer.

But there is a bad news, Microsoft has removed the Windows Installer Cleanup utility from its Download Center because it was discovered this tool could damage some components of the operating system installed on the  computer.

The good news is the availability in other websites like Softpedia at this link : Windows Installer CleanUp Utility 2.5.0.1
