Does data flow upstream? Where does your data flow? How does your garden grow? Wait, sorry, I was distracted a moment. You need to know where your data flows and this tutorial will help you understand the data flow in a Decision Only project using the ConvertStringToDate component.

Objective: Create a project to demonstrate data flow.

Step 1: Create a new Decision Only project and drag and drop the ConvertStringToDate component from the Date Handling/Convert category as shown below. Add one more End component. Link the components as shown below:

Step 2: Set the Input Data as shown below:
Step 3: Right click the ConvertStringToDate component and select Edit Component. Set the Input Variable Name as 'Input' and the Output Variable Name as 'Ret'.
In the Formatting tab, click on the selector button next to the Exact Datetime Format field. Click on the Constant Value tab and enter the format as shown below:
Step 4: Save and Run the project. Click the Run project button on the toolbar (bug with green arrow over it). In the Debugging form, double-click the Execute link.
