Workflow Tutorial: Using the Array Builder

This tutorial will help you understand how to use Workflow Solution's array builder.

Check your tool box - hammer, screwdriver, bandages. Good.

Let's get building!

Prerequisites: None

Objective: To learn how to use Workflow Solution's array builder.

Estimated time to complete: 30 minutes

Step 1: Create a new Decision Only project.

Step 2: Set the Input and Output Data as shown below:

Step 3: Search for the AverageValues component from the Toolbox. Drag and drop the AverageValues component and link it with the Start and End components.

Right Click on the AverageValues component and select Edit Component. Set the Output Variable Name as 'Average' by typing in the text box.

Step 4: Click the selector button next to the Values field and click the Add Array button. Select the variable name 'Numbers'.

Step 5: Right Click on the End component and select Edit Component. Click the selector button next to the Mapping field. Select the Value from Data radio button and select 'Average'.

Step 6: Save and Run the project. Double click Execute. Click the Add button to add values to be averaged. Click OK.

Step 7: The results are shown as below:

Step 8: Finished!
