Auto-Restore of Barebones Backup
Last week I posted a script to backup some basic information from most user's profiles. None of the data files were included. Well, here at the office and a couple of other people from outside the office have asked how we can automate the restoration of those files.
The script attached will prompt a user to enter the source computer's name and then will retrieve those files from the backup location and restore them to their intended location. Again this is built just to restore the "Favorites" and the Frequently used Contacts from Outlook (NK2 files).
If you added any files from the first one make sure to take the time to add them to this restoration script as well to make sure they get placed in the right location.
Make sure to update the source location to a UNC path that the account running the script has rights to access.
