The following code can be used to create connections based on which computers have IE 6.
The following code can be used to create connections based on which computers have IE 6.
We use custom inventory to look at file location and properties.
We were deploying IE7 and this method did not work for us as it was a bit slow.
We used custom inventory that looked for the file
iexplore.exe
in C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\
and collected file properties.
This custom inventory is very light and can be run with very aggressive
schedule and does not cause any performance issue on client pc on NS server.
