Empty Local Folder for Symantec Packager to Remove the Multilingual Support and Slim Your Install Package Down
To slim down the install package size you can delete the contents of each file in the "locals" folder under your profile directory.
C:\Documents and Settings\profile\Application Data\Symantec\Packager\Products\{really_long_guid_ID_adjust_your_path_appropriatly}\Files
This was a bit tedious but it would appear that the packager does not check for the contents of these files only that they exist.
In effect you will now have an English only install. Be careful if you do plan to switch languages this could have some unintended effects after the language switch away from English. If you only ever need English this would be a fine way to slim your package and install footprint.
My installation file was 73.5 megs for my host only package without live update built by build 442.
The same configuration was only 52 megs after altering the local folder contents.
If you want it here is my locals folder after I made every file a 0k file. The zip password is password. Back up your locals folder and then replace it with mine and this will slim down your package.
If you don't care about the size of the install package and just want to clean up the foot print after the install you can delete the "locale" folder under c:\Program Files\Symantec\pcAnywhere.
