Finding Disabled Software Update Tasks and Associated Advertisements

Often You might run into circumstances where a PMImport has run and Software Update Advertisements get disabled. The tough part about this is that there is no easy way to know that, until your patching cycle completes and you find out that there were revisions to a bulletin and the update advertisement was disabled.

Well, the attached report can at least give you a heads up and allow you to go back and mark the modified advertisements ready for distribution.

Just download the attached file, rename it to a .xml extension, and then import the report to your Notification Server console. After a new PMImport runs, run the report and check and see if anything has been disabled. You could then double-click on the report entries and actually enable them.

Hope this is useful!
