Over the last few days we've been adding a Dell Latitude 2110 Netbook into our hardware pool. Linux automation appeared to have native support, but during the evaluation we noticed we were getting CIFS timeouts on the express share. As none of our other test machines had this issue, the Linux drivers were suspected. A quick visit to the Broadcom website revealed that a more recent version of the Tigon tg3 source code was up, so I downloaded and compiled it against the 2.6.27.7 kernel (which is used in LinPE for DS6.9 SP3 and SP4). This has support for the NetXtreme Ethernet controllers: 5700, 5701, 5703, 5704, 5714, 5715, 5721, 5722, 5780 Our testing has been very positive -not a single glitch reported. If you use this download for other models it would be great if you could you post your model details here. This will help others searching the forum. Kind Regards, Ian./
