Mac Package Source Check
Created: 31 Oct 2012 | Updated: 31 Oct 2012
Here's a little script I wrote to check package server source for Mac machines. Simply supply the GUID of a package and the script will tell you where the package source is, and the name and current status.
Usage: pkg-source.sh [package guid] Example: pkg-source.sh 666F9628-B280-45EA-A923-0651681BAE7C
It will then spit back something like this:
Package Name: My Package.dmg Package Status: valid Package Source: http://packageserver.fqdn.com/Altiris/PS/pkggroup_%7Bf2b65968-1e6f-46cc-8efd-a38819c485c3%7D/%7B666F9628-B280-45EA-A923-0651681BAE7C%7D/cache
You can then copy the resulting URL into Safari to view the package files. Or see the package name and status as reported by Altiris.
