Here is a tool which can kill multiple process at a time from your remote machines. Comes in pretty handy when you have hung jobs giving problems for the other applications.

PDF writer

Faizal,

Go to google, and search for pdf creator. That is a freeware program that can de the job very easy and for free.
I use it all the time.
Just open the document, go to print and print it to the pdf creator. Than a screen pops up and asks you where to locate it.

Hi Faizal,
I like to use PDFcreator , for create PDF files . This tool has a freeware license and you can create PDFs from any Windows program.
Nice to produce documentation, PDF files can be read everywhere without use Microsoft Office or other tools,of course needs only Adobe Reader or similar tools.
Hope that can be helpful.

PDF REdirect

There is a freeware called PDFRedirect.
This works very fine on all OS.

On installation, this will create a PDF printer. Just select and save the file as PDF.

Here'z the link...

PDF printer as a VSA

Remember that the only way to virtualised a PDF printer application is to use the Global Capture mode, which means you will have a lot of cleaning up to do once it has been created.

Virtualize pdf creator

PDF creator can easely be virtualized.
But you have to do it with Wise packaging studio.

Create the package.
Open the package settings, and go to driver.
Change the setting for the driver from 0 to -1.
Go to build options, and set the options to exe with inserted MSI.
Then build you're package.

Then go to a Windows XP machine, and build you're package with the SVS layer creator.

You will see that after activating the layer the driver is inserted and it works.

More detail please!

Hi Erik
Could you please expand a little on how you are using WPS to repackage the PDF driver. I am using WPS 7 and am also having trouble getting a PDF driver into a layer (CutePDF). Your suggestion above to repackage the MSI using WPS and then package with the Layer Creator sounds great... but I don't understand what you are doing!

You mentioned;-
Create the package.
- is this a WPS snapshot to an MSI/WSI file?

Open the package settings, and go to driver.
- Do you mean open in Windows Installer Editor? What "settings" are you referring to?

Change the setting for the driver from 0 to -1.
- What do you mean by driver? Do you mean navigate to a DLL file in the tables? What 0 to -1 setting do you refer to?

I understand the build options part!

Thanks! George
