Inventory Management Service is an agentless service that aims at providing users the ability to gather License Information from their Storage Foundation Deployments. It does Host Discovery, Authentication, Deployment Collection and finally generates an Storage Foundation Inventory Report in Microsoft Excel Format. The easy-to-view Microsoft Excel Reports further equips the user with the ability to analyze their Storage Foundation Deployments.

Is there anybody out there
Is there anybody out there that has used this tool yet?
I'd like to know what your experience was - easy to use? Did it gather all info correctly?
Seems only Unix installations can be inventoried - nothing for Windows servers yet?

It looks like this is SDA ( Symantec Data Collector ) but with another name. Isn't it?
If yes, than can you please share any difference?
Now we try to use SDA for license inventory for a big data canter and have some troubles. I'm ready to share it with you.
