I've created a DLL that can be used in C# projects to create a CHF file for pcAnywhere and to connect to pcAnywhere clients. Here is the usage of the DLL.

CreateCHFFile(strComputerName, strFullUsername, strPassword, strCHFName, strPath);

Connect(strCHFName, strPath);

It returns a bool value as to whether each method was successful. This DLL will help you workaround the C# early binding issue with pcA Automation.

I guess this issue might go away in .NET 4.0 with the ability to do late binding with the Dynamic keyword?

I would be interested to see if it does go away, thanks for the heads up. That might be another workaround. Of course the app would then require that you have .net 4 on your older XP machines.

Yep, 'Dynamic' should be pretty useful. I know the asp.net mvc3 stuff is making heavy use of it.

Kudos on a great tool. I've been looking for something like this for years.

I noticed that the encryption settings are hard-coded. Any chance those can be made variable?
