We're big fans of anyone who builds a tool that makes life a little easier for the rest of us. Santana (the programmer, not the rock group) created this slick interface that gives you quick and easy access to Helpdesk incidents or KB articles.

This floating tool can be placed anywhere. It is designed to stay always on topmost even if you minimize all windows it will stay on top.

It will start up when you login and give you quick access to the most commonly used tools.

The best part is that you can customize it as much as you like. See readme.txt for more details.

User contributed tool

Again a user contributed tool that really helps. If we go further adding these kinds of tools, we will end up with a 1 day work week.

Thanxsss for this good addon.

Next step to make us all happy is the same tool, but then with a addon to give in Microsoft events.

erikw

The next step

Erikw, I have received many other suggestions and I like yours but I would like to ask you if you could provide more details to consider this. The reason I ask is because there similar tools that are more specific to windows and just want to see that if it already exist how can it be incorporated. I somehow see a gold mine in this suggestion but I just need your input. thanks!

Great tool for anyone

Even though we don't use the Altiris Helpdesk for our official Helpdesk, our Altiris team still uses it for alert management items. Quick links to important tools that any Altiris admin would want to have access to. Keep it up.

Search by Contact?

Anyway to modify this to allow you to search by Contact? We're looking for a tool to make it easier for our Helpdesk folk to find incidents and this would be great.

Am I missing something here?

How do I change the view and edit modes so it open the incident on my help desk server?
