Hi,

To implement this Monitor Pack it requires to have the Symantec Management Platform and Altiris Server Management Suite installed. If you have the platform it is as easy as importing the Monitor Pack, enabling and targeting a set of resources with the Monitor Agent Plug-in installed.

There are several Video's on how to install, configure and rollout the Monitor Solution located on the Monitor Pack Community and select video's, also here you can find Video's on how to edit and/or create your own Packs.

If you use this Monitor Pack you can also integrate it with BSER, NetBackup or Recovery Solution so that when a Predict Failure is triggered then you could initiate a backup of the Server or Data to be taken so that the data is not at risk.

Also for example you could use Workflow to determine if this resource has a backup existing and if not schedule an urgent backup while installing the agents needed to do this and while this is happening track the Changes and Incident via ServiceDesk.

Since this Monitor Pack if Fault detection only and is primarily focused for Servers it could be potentially used for Desktops also.

I hope this helps ensure that you can now Predict HDD Failures and ensure that you have a backup of the data so the data is not at Risk.
