Reset Autorun Batch File script - a simple script that will reset the autorun.inf of a drive. Still working on enhancements, upgrades, etc.. or maybe a gui (I hope).

Hi, I have noticed on the forums that whenever we encounter an autorun.inf problem the best way is to reset the autorun by going to a commandline. I have created a script that will do this. Just test an see if it will be ever useful on your environment.

The details of the script is to reset and old autorun maybe on a USB, and delete it. Create a folder named "autorun.inf" then set the file attributes to Read-only, Hidden and System.

Please post feedback, or any suggestion you might think of..

Thanks,
Paul

What Paul did was create a batch file that would delete your current autorun.inf file and create an autorin.inf directory which most malwares are unable to write on.

All you need to do is extract his batch file and run it. :)
