This is the tool that SEP Technical support will use when they need an activiry log from a system.  Pretty helpful also if you run this on a system having issues.  It will also check for upgrades each time you run it.  You can also use this tool to verify whether or not a server has the ability to act as a SEPM.

Hi Matter for your question

When you run this support tool there will be a check box of ESUGLPDU report, if you check it, there will be a General load point report created also. this report always used by Tech support to identify if this machine was infected, or check is there any susperiouse files in this machine.

as far as I know, there is no such tools can be run, then feed back a result if this machine have virus or not, basicly, we strongly recommented customer install our antivirus first then update to latest definition, do full scan, if there is a virus, we can see virus found, but it is hard to find virus while current virus definition didnot cover this virus, always happen when this virus is a new variation.

beside this ESUGLPDU tool, there are lots of system log generation tools can be use to identify if this machine was virus infected, like SReng which also named system repair engine.

the general way to analysis such log is check latest modified files which didnot have correct  file signatures, pay more attention if such files are .exe .dll .sys etc

wish this make sense for you

Stuck at 41 MSI

MS Server 2008 R2 64bit

Issue that triggered support tool : Event 7000. The Symantec Eraser Control driver service failed due to the following error: The file name, directory name, or volume label is incorrect.

Support tool stops at 41 of 51 Products installed by MSI.

Prior to this case was opened with Symantec, as per their instruction I upgraded to 11.0.6mp2, which is supposed to include a patch to resolve error 7000.

Problem still occurring.
