Currently there is no easy way to get the list and status of Services running on a machine. This is particularly useful on Servers. This custom inventory gets all of the installed services and their status and loads them into the NS DB.

It is all in a Wise and VB Script for easy customization. All that really needs to be done is change the path for the vbs file and the dataclass. You can then build auditing collections so you know when services fail or stop and automatically remediate.

Terrific (& Useful) work with WiseScript.

Mad props to you, sir... More important than being highly skilled is providing some highly useful WiseScripts. Please keep them coming!

Service inventory is part of

Service inventory is part of the NS agent on a system and can be found in this table: Inv_AeX_AC_NT_Services

I do like your script and appreciate it.  Are you running any NS architecture at your shop?  We use ours in our server shop exclusivley so I could provide some advice if you're interested.
