Goal: experiment with speeding up access to portions of the console by following direct url navigation. I am trying to omitting the overhead of creating and rendering the SMP top menu and side tree.
I only started coding this last week so it is full of bugs but I want to bounce the idea around the community. At the moment, I am reading the SMP information from the registry, so this must be run locally on the SMP. I started adding the connect to remote server functionality, but I would like to see if this is even useful before I invest lots of time.
At Protirus we took a slightly different approach and decided to use HTML5 - we wanted to duplicate Deployment Server 6.9 performance in a browser (Chrome / Safari / Firefox etc) - so it allows control from devices such as Macs. It also solves multi-tennancy - as it was developed originally for a telco.
We've got a video of it in action - http://www.protirus.com/Home/WorkstationManagement if anyones interested.

Great tool! I can't get it working from my remote desktop. Only from right on the server.
I have tested and it much faster than the browser. It would be nice to have run from my desktop. Great Job!!! Thank you...
I just had a quick look at this in my 7.1 lab environment. Just displaying this and that. It looks good. It's definitely faster. Thank you!
I find the native UI frustrating so I like your concept. I'm not in a position to test unfortunately.
