Is it possible to download a Beta version of Storage Foundation and Veritas Cluster Server 6.0  ?

Hi @lex,

We have a couple options for you to try, depending on your interest.

1) You can work with your SYMC rep to get access to VMs we have hosted online.  You can test what we have available to test in the beta program without having to partition your own hardware and setup a system just for this.  Unfortunately, the site is internal to Symantec so you will need to work directly with your SYMC rep or an authorized partner who can access SymDemo.

2) If you are interested in downloading the binaries to test online, you also need to work with your Symantec rep as they need to send in an e-mail to get signed up for the program.  If they have questions, they can send me an e-mail.

So you are aware, this release has very few features in the beta program that can be tested through the binaries for UNIX/Linux.  With SFHA 6.0 for UNIX/Linux we only have Virtual Business Services and IMF-PCV, which are both VCS features.  The SF features are still being worked on, which is why we went through the process of feature videos within the beta program.

If you have additional questions, please let me know.

I am interested in the trialware version of SFHA 5.1. It seems impossible to find. I have set up a virtualized  iSCSI san in virtualbox with Solaris 10 and Freenas. The purpose is to be able to try things there before to apply them in production environment. My company uses SFHA 5.1, not 6.0... Is there any way to get it ?

Hi Jriv,

To obtain a full version of SFHA you will need to work with someone from sales.  If you have access to the FileConnect Symantec website, you can download it.  If your company already uses SFHA, you should work with your SE for a method to download the full release.
