End Point Protection Installation Problems

I use my Home Computer for business purposes.  My Company (Bechtel Corporation) provides me with Symantec Antivirus and most recently I was given a copy of the Corporate Enterprise Endpoint Protection and I was informed to install that on my Home Computer.

I was able install the End Point Protection and at the end it prompted me to restart the computer to take effect.  I did restart the computer and ever since I have not been able to get the computer up and running.  I shut down the computer several times and tried to restart and the computer keeps trying to load some information and the End Point Protection icon indicates that there has been multiple problems.

My computer is a Dell D600 Lattitude Windows XP.  Any help on this issue is appreciated.

Thanks,

Can you also help out with a similar tool that you can dig through the registry and cleanup the 'Broken'/'Damaged' objects as listed in Internet Explorer View Objects? No matter how many times I try to remove they say the files are in us and system had to be rebooted. Even after reboot the broken/damaged objects are unable to be removed.
