Veritas Storage Foundation HA plug-in for Oracle and Oracle RAC

The SFHA plug-ins extends Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control to add support for managing Symantec’s Storage stack and RAC extensions. By deploying the plug-in in your Grid Control environment, you gain the following management features:

• Monitor Symantec VERITAS Cluster Server
• Raise alerts and violations based on resource state
• Maps database objects on Symantec Storage stack

Supported Product Versions

This SFHA plug-in supports the following versions of products:

1. Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10g Release 2 or higher Management Service
2. Symantec Storage Foundation for Oracle RAC 4.1 and 5.x on UNIX platform
3. Symantec Storage Foundation for Oracle 4.1 and 5.0
4. Symantec Storage Foundation 4.1 and 5.0

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites must be installed before you can deploy the plug-in:

1. Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid Control 10g Release 2 or higher system and Agent.
2. The Symantec Plug-in can only be deployed on UNIX Agents
3. Access must be granted to run plug in as oracle user
