Web Based Attacks Document

Hi Team,

Please read this Symantec document on web based attacks.
It is very informative. It lets us see how an attack takes place and its outcome.
 
Here are some things I learned from this documents on the anatomy of a  web attack:

1. Attacker breaks into a legitimate Web site and posts malware
2. Attacking enduser machines
3. Leveraging end user machines for malicious activity

It also say how legitimate websites are attacked and successfully infected as follows:

1. S QL Injection Attacks
2. M alicious Advertisements
3. S earch Engine Result Redirection
4. Attacks on the backend virtual hosting companies
5. Vulnerabilities in the Web server or forum hosting software
6. C ross-site scripting (XSS) attacks

Hope this document will be as interesting as what I had experienced.
