Workflow Template - DLP vShield VM Quarantine
About the DLP vShield VM Quarantine Template
The DLP VM Quarantine through vShield template allows for Workflow to automatically quarantine a VM based on a DLP policy violation. Although the template functions as is, you can modify it in Workflow Designer to more closely reflect your organization's business process.
This template uses the VMware vShield API to let you automatically quarantine the virtual machines (VMs) that are at risk based on a DLP policy violation. The process produces an immediate response to a given threat with an auditable remediation process to correct the issue.
Attached to this article is the Install and Configuration Guide and the Process Template. The process template is currently saved as a .ZIP file, you will need to change the extension to .package before importing it into your Workflow designer.
About Workflow content templates
Workflow content templates are pre-designed workflows that automate common business processes. The content templates run in a Workflow 7.1 SP2 environment.
Workflow lets you perform the following tasks:
- Make data actionable.
- Automate manual tasks.
- Integrate disparate user groups and applications.
- Control processes.
A Workflow content template is a shortcut that gives you a starting point for performing these tasks. After you install the content template and insert the information that is specific to your company, the process is ready to run.
To meet your needs for integrating products simply, Workflow content templates are developed according to the following standards:
- Contain fewer than 30 total components, making them easy to use.
- Are easy for you to configure according to your unique business processes.
- Are customizable. They solve integration and data issues and leave the actual process easy and open to you to change.
Content templates will be made available for download from the Workflow SolutionCenter, with the release of the Solution Center later this summer, in the mean time we have posted the template here.
