Especially those administrators who started working with Vmware ESX 2. In VMware ESX 2 you built your Sysprep files, placed them in the correct location and then we generated a Sysprep\i386\$oem$ directory.

Hello, I have Altiris Application Control version 6.1 SP1 installed on my NS.  I have about 300 Dynamic filters to block apps - using a blacklist approach.

When you have imaged a Windows machine and you are deploying it to tens or even hundreds of other computers you need to Sysprep the machine. The most important reason why we Sysprep our computers is because we need a new generated sid for the machine. Of course we also need a new computername to prevent us from having network problems because of duplicate computernames.

just wanted to ping anyone else while I am waiting for Symantec support to work on this issue to see if anyone else had experienced it and what the solution might have been.

Any one see this problem? I have to force quite and start over.  If I do get connected to a host, it is very slow and eventually locks up the remote software on my XP pro pc. greg
