I've attempted to install Ghost Solution Suite on a Dell PE R710 running Windows Server 2008. At the start of the install I was warned that I was attempting to install onto an "incompatible operating system" but it did allow me to continue.

So. I have a few questions: 1. In the organization I'm working in, we have a network with no DHCP server, so we have to give our computers the network configuration manually. Is there a way for the ghost-cast server to automatically configure the client computer using predefined configurations and joining it into the domain?

Ok so I ghosted this laptop from the USB drive using local. Everything worked golden until I checked out the image I went to the my computer and noticed my thumb drive was on the image? And no the thumb drive was not plugged in (hehe) But this a big problem for me because I have software on here that is assigned to this letter and  now the thumb driver over written it.

Every time I try to use GSS to push a multicasted image, it intermittently drops one or all of the clients.  I'm not using the Ghost Client, just an image file and GhostCast Server v11.0.2.1573.  The server is connected to an unmanaged gigabit switch and there are no routers in the LAN.

Can anyone say what level of image encryption (if at all) is provided by ghost32 v.11?  I've seen Ghost32 error logs posted on this forum that suggest  that the -pwd command switch provides some sort encryption.   Is it just the password that gets encrypted, or the full image?  Have not been able to find a definitive answer so far.  Thanks! We deploy Windows XP using Ghostcast Server 8.3.0.1331. We had been using Bart PE disks for each client to contact the multicast session, but with the deployment of newer computer platforms, it has become increasingly difficult to add updated SATA/NIC drivers to the PE boot disk.

Hello, I've trying to install Ghost Solution Suite 12.5 on Windows 7 professional 64Bit, and it just says it's not support with this operating system, which is fair enough because windows 7 is quite new but i've tried setting the compatibility option to Windows XP with service pack 3 then tried Vista with Service pack 2 but still says the same thing.

Today for some reason our NS just started crawling and all the screens are timing out before they finish to load.  I looked at the event logs and it is full of errors complaining about "Power Management".  Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I can fix it? Thanks! Sid
