Sadly I see there has been no support for Windows 8 added in SP2, nor is the Windows 8 known Metro issue even on the list of "known issues".  Pretty typical of Symantec I suppose.    At some point here I'll give it a try on a Windows 8 machine to see if it no longer crashes 90% of Metro applications after install.

I believe you should try upgrading a test system to SP8 MP2 and then see if you still have the problem. I'm not sure what exact build version this is, but I do know that SP8 MP1 was version 6.4.0.1711, which is itself somewhat newer than the version you are running.

Thanks for the info the info zxylene.  Sounds good for the 32bit users, sadly I only have 64bit both on my machine and in our work environment.  Hopefully they address those soon. What sucks is I have been planning on virtualizing many apps for my workstation on this clean new image.  Now I cannot do that :(

Still looking for this feature in a future release. A simple filter on Computer OU would be acceptable. That way my VDI, physical machine, and Citrix session can get differnet applications sets for the same user.
