As one of Denmark’s largest cities, Municipality of Herning (Herning) required a tool to secure and manage its employees’ mobile devices. It chose Symantec App Center, which enables the small IT team to manage a growing number of mobile devices simply and effectively. Herning can now distribute and target custom sets of applications to different groups and departments in a user friendly and intuitive solution.

Liberty Games

Europe, Middle East, Africa | Small Business

Online retailer Liberty Games gets customer orders for arcade games and games room equipment that can range from £5 to £35,000. To ensure the highest security and privacy for customer data, Liberty Games selected Symantec Extended Validation (EV) SSL certificates, and got implementation assistance from SSL247®, a Symantec Platinum Website Security Partner, for a Symantec Secure Site Pro with EV SSL Certificate. Since then, Liberty Games has achieved a 35 percent year-over-year boost in revenue.

CA Dept of Corrections

North America | Public Sector | Enterprise

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation wanted to streamline its ability to produce documents for legal matters, and it turned to a start-to-finish eDiscovery solution from Symantec. Results include the ability of legal staff to produce and manage data without IT assistance, reduced time and cost when reviewing requested information, and cloud storage archiving that saves the cost of adding storage, delivers faster performance, and fosters quick adoption because of an easy-to-use interface.

Horizon Business Services 

North America | Technology | Small Business

Florida’s Horizon Business Services serves 4,000 businesses and 30,000 users with hosting, and hasn’t raised hosting prices in nine years. Backup Exec 2014 contributes to that efficiency by backing up 20 percent faster and deduplicating at a 10 percent higher ratio than Backup Exec 2012, deduplicating 3x faster than Backup Exec 2010, and achieving 99% backup success and 100% recovery success with 20 recoveries per month.

W.T. International B.V.

Europe, Middle East, Africa | Technology | Small Business

W.T. International provides data protection and other IT services to more than 100 other businesses. To enhance data protection, it upgraded to Symantec Backup Exec 2014. This enables the seven-person IT team to streamline backup administration by 50 hours per year, speed up backups for virtual and physical systems by up to 100 percent, enable daily virtual server backups to recover more current data, and save several thousand euro.

Mitre10 

Asia Pacific, Japan | Retail | Enterprise

To support rapid growth, streamline backup of 16 terabytes, and simplify protection of a nearly 100 percent virtualized environment, New Zealand-based home improvement chain Mitre 10 turned to Symantec to upgrade its approach to data protection. Results include up to 3x faster backups, 67 percent less backup administration time, more than 400 hours per year reclaimed in productivity, and projected five-figure annual savings by essentially eliminating tape operations.

Castilla-La Mancha

Europe, Middle East, Africa | Public Sector | Enterprise

To increase security while lowering costs, Spain’s ICT Common Services Area for the Castile-La Mancha Regional Assembly sought to centralize endpoint security. It chose Symantec Endpoint Protection. Results include 83 percent reduction in servers saving EU€139,000 (US$193,000), robust and centralized protection, and real-time control over 10,000 PCs.

As a financial services provider, UAP Holdings Limited depends on efficiency and security as core pillars of its business. With 12 business units operating across Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Rwanda, and Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the company needed a solution that could support the rate of growth of its data while standardizing and simplifying backup across the many remote branches.
