Hello,

Is there a Best Practices Document for SEP 12.x and Windows SBS 2008?  All I can find is SEP 11.x + SBS.

Thank you,

dp

Hi dpbklyn,

Do update this thread if you have any specific questions about SEP 12.1 on SBS 2008.  I have one running here (as well as Symantec Mail Security for MS Exchange).  If you do as well, here's an article about SMSMSE and SBS that may be of interest:

Thank you, everyone...Ihave my reading cut out for me!

@Mick2009--The client logs onto the server and see all the red lights on the console stating that they are not protected. Is there a way to make SBS recognize that Symantec's "got it's back" when it comes to security?

Thank you,

No problem, dp!

Which version of SEP 12.1 are they running, and which components?  With current versions, the status should be correctly reflected in the Security Center / SBS Console.  (Older releases of SEP 12.0 and SAV for Vista had trouble, if I remember correctly)

This also might be what they are seeing:

How to keep Windows 2008 Small Business Server firewall from showing critical when SEP's Network Threat Protection is enabled

If not, grab a screenshot of the Security tab of the Windows SBS Console.  It might be something that a forum member recognizes and can help with.

With thanks and best regards,

Mick
