Hello!

I would like to ask these questions:

1. If I upgrade my SNAC SEPM to 12.1 and I have my clients running on 11.6, can i set my client groups member clients to not automatically upgrade at once from the console/

2. If I have a setup with SNAC only, then I installed SEPM for SEP to have the SEP functionality from the server? Would the existing SNAC clients will be installed with SEP components or I will have to use an SEP package to remotely deploy to them?

Thanks

they will not autoupgrade. SNAC is host integrity check it will show only pass or fail. Unless you set some remediation server for clients to get the update using some script.

SEP package and SNAC package is one and same. You need to enable the modules in package if you have not selected in earlier install.

can you post the screen shot of the client UI?

Hi pete!

1. I see. So if i want to upgrade them, what would be the best option?

2. From the symantec console, I see a package from SNAC and a seperate package fro SEP, How will I use 1 package?

you can use the third party tool or SEPM for upgrade .

use the SEP package, since SEP client will have SNAC component as well, you need to activate the licenses for SNAC. If SEPM 12.1 it also needs license/

1. SEPM 12.1 does not force the autoupgrade of its older clients by default - it would be recommended though and can be achieved by installation package assigment to the specific group:

2. It is depending on you and the setting you choose for the installation package - you can upgrade only  the existing SNAC package but can deploy as well the SEP features to it. Do these SNAC clients have any AV Protection at the moment?
