Se ha solucionado este problema. Vea la solución.

Please take a look at the attached screen shot, I would like to know what the purpose of this function is? It is pretty much the only thing in SEP I have never used.

Thank you

That's for AD sync.

You can sync AD with your SEPM to keep better control

Importing existing groups and computers from an Active Directory or an LDAP server

Those two functions are used if you want to do an Active Directory Sync.

Once you have connect the AD of your choice to the SEPM, you can use these options to Import  Organizational Uints (OU) & or Users from the Active Directory that was connected.

Hope this helps.

For ease of management.

Any time new PC is added to AD or if one moves from one location another, it will be automatically changed in SEPM as well.

Basically, any changes in AD, will also take affect in SEPM when it comes to users/PCs.

I'm NEVER using this again, I tested it, and it put ALL of my clients in to the default group.

Annoying!!!!!!!!

It does take some doing.

Were they in the right place in AD? They usually go to the Default Group if they're in the wrong place in AD and there is no group in SEPM that matches.

As far as our AD structure is concerned, they are where they need to be. I built the tree in SEPM on my own based on sites, clients and servers. Maybe that is where the mismatch was.

Also, when I did that, it gave me something about there are too many clients over my license.

I like the way I have it set up now. I am going to leave it this way.
