Certified Data Facilities Operations
CDFOM is a 3 day course designed to expose participants to the key elements involved managing data center operations including subjects such as capacity planning, the latest green initiatives, how to properly commission and de-commision equipment, compliance to safety standards, managing people, managing vendors, handling incident and crisis management, as well as how to keep operations really simple, manageable, effective and efficient. The way a data center is managed at the facilities level can make the difference between a 7x24x365 operation and one with frequent and unscheduled downtime.
There is often very little appreciation and understanding of the complexities of managing today’s mission critical data centers - especially since many data centers are operating at or near their design limits and downtime is not an option. CDFOM uses proven best practices and standards-based curriculum to provide students with an in-depth knowledge of data center facility operations.
