Patch is always an ongoing disucssion for me and look forward to sharing implementation practices.

Lately I've been focusing on this scenario.

1. A job I can run that runs all pending patches and patches at the end of needed.  I control the specific trigger time.

2. Catching laptops that don't have a compliance scan that is current.  We have to run our compliance scan after hours so it runs daily at night instead of every 4 hours.  I wrote a query to build a collection of laptops that miss this window and followup with a mid-day scan.

The kind of stuff I did usually end up with "why did you do it that way?", or "why don't you try..".  The type of dialog that is healthy in a user group.  Perhaps my way works well for someone else or is flat out wrong and there is a much better way.
