Gangs, Watering Holes, and Other Threats: Highlights from Symantec’s Annual Threat Report
In the early 1860s during the time of the Pony Express, keeping pace with the threat landscape would have required a stable of mustangs. Today, to combat cyber gangs, avoid the wrong watering holes, and escape other threats, you need Symantec’s annual Internet Security Threat Report (ISTR).
In 2012, there were some significant changes to the threat landscape that you need to know about. Don’t be ambushed; be ready to thwart and combat these attacks by joining a live video webcast for an in-depth discussion of the findings of the 2013 ISTR.
Kevin Haley, one of Symantec’s security experts from the Security Technology and Response organization, will serve as the moderator and open the webcast by delving into some of the key highlights of the report, including:
- Changes in industry sectors most vulnerable to attacks
- The emergence of a new form of targeted attack
- New vulnerabilities discovered on mobile operating systems
He will be joined by several security and IT subject matter experts, representing several market segments, who will examine the findings and discuss how these evolving attacks are impacting their organizations.
