My biggest fight rigt now with CEM is using a comercial and/or internal PKI signed CA cert on the gateway. As a PCI certified company we dont allow the use of self-signed.

Also one more layer of external protection by putting an F5 in front of the Gateway (external nat - F5 - Internet Gateway). Been having issues with that

I have to agree with Andrew Novak.  Our company does not allow self-signed certificates also, we are struggling with a third party certificate and getting it to work. I know that this will work behind an F5 device it is just that Symantec does not support that configuration. I am joining this webcast and hopefully there will be a discussion about using internal certificates and third party certificates. Who has done what, how have they got it to work?

EDITED:  I had posted earlier that I was using an internal CA for the SSL cert on my gateway but I was mistaken.  It was the NS and site servers where we used our internal CA to generate certs.

Our clients do trust the third party CA. JoeVan can you explain the process you took to generate the certificate for the gateways? Did you follow the whitepaper for CEM to apply the certificates or did you do something different.

Apologies, the information I posted earlier was incorrect and I have edited my post.  I am not aware of a way to use an internal or public cert for the gateway itself.
